It’s Still Possible

It's still possible

There lived a certain lady named June who resides in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. She’s an epitome of beauty; she’s a size 6, light skinned, pointed nose, glowing skin and to cap it all, she has a beautiful character.

June got married 2 years ago, still a size 6 and beautiful until one day when she discovered she was pregnant with her very first child.

She was filled with Joy and her husband responded by showering her with lots of exotic and expensive gifts. However, few weeks into her pregnancy, she noticed some changes in her body, she moved from a size 6 to a size 10, her hour-glass shape turned to I – Shape, her pointed nose became bigger and her flat stomach began to bulge out.

June looked at herself in the mirror and wondered if she was ever going to get back to a size 6. But somewhere inside her, she was determined to do whatever it takes to nurture the seed growing up inside her.

Nine months later, she gave birth to her bundle of joy, the fruit of her womb, her son Bryan. After about 3 months of nursing her child, her body returned back to a size 6 and she looks more beautiful than ever.

Like June, everyone is carrying a seed in one area of life or the other, an expectation that you hope will be fulfilled one day. You wonder, how will this thing happen? When will I get rich? When will I get married? When will I be free from this sickness? When will my husband change for the better? When will my child stop being rebellious? When will people stop calling me by the situation I’m going through?

Just like June, DON’T WORRY, IT’S STILL POSSIBLE.  “For with God, nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).

God is using this period of waiting to prepare and equip you to be able to manage that expectation when it finally comes to pass. Are you asking God for a child? God is preparing you to become the best mother. Are you asking him for a house, He is preparing you to become a landlord?

While waiting for the manifestation of our expectations, there are things you do need to do;

  1. Look for people who have waited and received the promise and learn from their experience ( Hebrew 11)
  2. Don’t try to work it out on your own & don’t give God alternatives like Sarah did ( Psalm 27:14)
  3. Don’t lose hope on the rope of Hope
  4. Go on a retreat, Shut down your activities and express your pain to God through prayers (John 15:5)
  5. Hold on to God’s word, the same way a ship holds on to its anchor when the storm arises (Psalm 130:5, 27:14)
  6. Trust God’s timing and completely put your faith in Him

Though weeping may endure for the night, Joy comes in the Morning (Isiah 55:11).

God is preparing you, DO NOT LOSE HOPE, it’s still Possible.
