So I heard about this new restaurant in town from my friends. I was told they only serve freshly prepared meals. Trust me, my love for freshly prepared meals is out of this world (Lolz).

Full of anticipation, I decided to check out this restaurant. The ambience was awesome and the staff was very very friendly.  A very handsome waiter approached my table with a broad smile, He welcomed me and handed over the menu list to me.

I was so excited when I saw Ukwa (breadfruit) on the list. Being one of my best food, I ordered it. Shortly after, they served me juice as a foretaste while my order was being processed.

Hardly had I settled down sipping my juice when this pretty young lady walked in and made an order, I was still waiting for mine to be ready when she finished and left. Some other people too did same at different times, and I was still waiting. My precious ukwa was yet to be ready, Chai! Vex just catch me. I stood up and shouted at the waiter; CAN I HAVE MY ORDER PLEASE?!

He politely apologized that it will be ready in a few minutes. He explained that it took longer because my order is a special one but takes a while to get ready, unlike other foods they prepare there. So I had to patiently wait for my order to get ready. Eventually, the order arrived and it definitely was worth the wait.

On getting home, it dawned on me that that is how God works sometimes. He answers our prayers when we ask in prayer, but sometimes, we will have to wait a bit for him to perfect us and our order before serving it to us.

Hebrews 10:36; For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Some other people around you might have received their lighter orders like snacks, but yours is Special. Hold on, stay hopeful, it’s still possible.
